It's difficult, if not impossible, to predict the future for a business in 2025. What we usually fall back on is best practice. Even when facing the unknown impact of innovations such as the ever-present AI. In a world where the PEST (Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological) landscape is changing at increasing speed, it's good to take a moment to step back, and consider what is and is not important.
Perhaps in 2025 we should dare to do things differently. I imagine you are saying "I've already been forced to do things differently". We all have. Since the chaos of the global COVID era, we have been constantly challenged to do things differently, and as a result there have been moments of both gain and pain.
Certainly the journey has never been dull, or without risk. Adversity will always be part of our lives, and humans and their innate creativity have an amazing ability to overcome difficult circumstances. Yes, this is an optimist's view. Because optimism is what's required for persistence and ultimately breakthrough in all spheres of business.
Winston Churchill inspired a nation to "never surrender".
Muhammed Ali told people "do not count the days but make the days count".
Nelson Mandela said "it always seems impossible until it's done"
Taking an optimist's view can be a great enabler. Your future is bright, so here's to your your personal, career and business success in 2025. Carpe Diem!
