Image shows 12 small red jelly sweets in a group to the left, and a single green jelly sweet to the right. The blog post urges readers to be counter-cultural in building relationships with prospects, where so many competitors don't bother to do this.

The world of online marketing is so full of content that your audience is most probably saturated to the point of not being interested in yet another piece of digital 'blah blah'.

Pushing content into social networks without any relationship with your potential readers is tantamount to standing in the middle of the Sahara during a sand storm and whispering. So building relationships is critical to any and all forms of success, whether in business, your community, the people you meet, your friends and family members.

Our global society seems to have misplaced this important part of life, as we stare into our mobile phones, laptops and smart televisions.

Maybe, just maybe, 2025 needs to be year that your organisation becomes counter-cultural. Aim for a year of relationship building - what could be more important?
